LakeWatchers was created to give boaters, anglers, lakefront homeowners, and outdoor enthusiasts instant, reliable access to critical lake conditions. We consolidate fragmented public agency databases into one lightning-fast, mobile-optimized guide built specifically for outdoor readability under direct sunlight.

Where Our Data Comes From

We do not estimate or guess water levels. All hydrologic data is collected hourly from official scientific and governing agency sources:

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) CWMS: Official gage elevations, storage percentages, and dam tailwater release rates.
  • U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) NWIS: Instantaneous streamflow and real-time surface water temperatures.
  • NOAA / National Weather Service (NWS): High-resolution wind speed, wind gusts, atmospheric pressure, and lake wind advisories.
  • State Wildlife & Parks Agencies: Boat ramp coordinates, amenities, fish species surveys, and local fishing regulations.
