What to Know About Lake Texoma
Texoma is a massive, two-river reservoir where the Red River arm brings slight salinity (enabling wild striper reproduction) and the Washita arm brings clear deep waters. For weekend sandbar raft-ups, Wood Island and North Island are the places to be. If the level drops below 614 ft, watch for submerged timber in the upper Big Mineral arm. Eisenhower State Park marina and Highport ramp are concrete and easily launchable even when low.

Regulations Summary: Daily limit for striped bass is 10 (only 2 may be 20 inches or longer). No culling of striped bass allowed.
Stocking & Reproduction: Self-sustaining natural reproduction of striped bass (one of only a few inland lakes in the US with natural spawning).

Personal watercraft permitted. Boating safety certification required for operators born on or after Sept 1, 1993 (TX) or for youth 12-15 (OK). No-wake zones strictly enforced within 150 feet of docks, marinas, and designated swim beaches.

Highport ramp had 4 lanes moving with zero wait. Dock hands assisted with tie-off. Sandbars near North Island are clearly visible in the sun.
